Steve Pitts is a Partner and Head of Thursfields’ Probate, Tax & Trusts Department. Steve specialises in dealing with Probate, Wills, Trusts, Inheritance Tax Planning, Enduring & Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work.
Steve joined Thursfields in 1977 and has been a Partner since the 1979. Steve is a founder member of the Birmingham Branch of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP). Steve is also a member of the Law Society’s Probate Section, Solicitors for the Elderly, and the Agricultural Law Association. Steve is also a member of the Court of Protection’s Panel of approved Deputies.
Steve was, from 1989 to 2002, a Council Member of the Birmingham Law Society and was the Secretary of their then Information Technology and Practice Management Committee for that time too. Steve was, from 1994 to 2002, the Honorary Secretary of the Society for Computers and Law which is a national charity dealing with IT for Lawyers and IT Law.
