Thursfields recently participated in the annual Will Aid scheme to raise money for charity. Law firms are invited to join the scheme by offering reduced priced Wills in return for the costs being paid to Will Aid. The scheme raises money for worthwhile causes including ActionAid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid and Age UK to name but a few.
Will Aid has confirmed that 2009 was the best year yet for the scheme, raising an impressive £1.25 million in donations.
Thursfields also had their best year yet by raising an impressive £2,680.00 for the charities - 40% increase on the previous year.
Head of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts Department, Steve Pitts commented “As a firm we feel it is vital to encourage people to make a Will and participating in the Will Aid scheme also enables very worthwhile charities to benefit from our work.”
